Claire Quigley is a visual artist based in the New York Metropolitan Area. She works predominantly with oil paint, but explores other medium such as clay, intaglio, charcoal, and pastel. She developed her practice at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, studying Fine Arts and Art History. Her work explores themes of mysticism, spirituality, and sensuality. Quigley often references scenes from her real life in nightlife, in nature, or within the home. Much of her work plays with intense color palettes and levels of opacity to create large scale dream like work.
