ANGEL

“Angel” was one of the first piece Quigley created while recording her process. While the process included an extensive amount of detailed drawing on the canvas in paint, the saturation comes from a layering of different hues and levels of opacity. The figure has obvious sculptural qualities, such as the grey hues of the face. The figure was inspired by religious statues commonly found in gardens of houses local to Quigley on Long Island.
